Ms. Powers recently devised a plan to provide incentives to employees of a limited liability company. The subsequent benefit to the employees approximated the amount realized by corporate stock options without the tax liability resulting from a capital shift. In another recent representation, she worked closely with a valuation firm to draft a report containing rationale to support an eighty-five percent discount from the value of a publicly-traded stock, which was accepted by the Internal Revenue Service. |
