J. Scott MacKay works in the corporate and commercial department of Dillon, Bitar & Luther where he focuses his practice on corporate, commercial, and financial matters. Mr. MacKay is a practical business lawyer who is skilled at developing creative and effective legal solutions that enable the Firm’s clients to pursue and achieve their business objectives. He has a wide range of experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing acquisitions, sales, credit facilities, and other commercial transactions for companies that range from early stage enterprises to large, publicly traded corporations.

Mr. MacKay enjoys working with start-ups and frequently counsels entrepreneurs on the legal issues associated with starting, financing, and growing a new business.

Mr. MacKay has many years of experience in addressing the intellectual property and other legal issues created by new and emerging technologies. He regularly represents website and software developers, Internet service providers, and other technology companies in a wide variety of matters.

Mr. MacKay has an MBA in Management/Finance and has served as in-house General Counsel to two companies. This experience and training provide Mr. MacKay with valuable insight and perspective in thinking like an "insider" to provide the Firm’s clients with practical and cost-effective legal solutions.
